Injectable fillers such as Restylane are clear gel particles made of hyaluronic acid, a substance normally found in the body. The substance is FDA approved and are broken down naturally.

What are Injectable Fillers used for?

These fillers are used to add volume and fullness to the skin. They are used to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and folds and add fullness to the lips.

Who administers the medication?

Injectable fillers are administered by a trained physician.

How long do the results last?

Visible results last approximately 6 months. Individual results may vary. Be sure to discuss with your healthcare provider what you can expect.

Is the treatment painful?

A mild amount of discomfort may be experienced during the injections. Some of the fillers come with local anesthetic mixed in with the hyaluronic acid. If not, your healthcare provider may offer to numb the face prior to injection or perform the procedure under intravenous conscious sedation.
